Quarter 2 Reflection

what are my areas of strength?

Im good at usings sketch up in animation & I have fun filming .

what are areas I need improve?

I need to be better at using my time, so i can get all my work done on time.

what did I love most about this semester?  

I love that we got to flim anywhere we wanted to. i like that we got that freedom .

what would I change or do differently?

I would not be in any videos . I don't like being in the videos , but I like to flim   

over all take-away or learning from this semester ?

I learned that its fun to be the one behind the camera ( or iPad)

one goal you would like to set for the next semester & final thought?

my goal for next semester is to use my time more wisely & if i don't have enough in class i could stay after school. i really enjoyed this class and it makes me want to do video next year.

      My name is Layla vestal and I'm a E-communication student at olathe northwest. I'm a very creative person and i love to use sketch up. outside of school i like to hangout with friends and baking.

how I made this

This was kind hard to make this . First you have to make a happy ball and sad ball. Then you have to make the happy ball going down then you have to make the sad ball at the end of the line. the next thing you do is go back up and down with the happy balls ,  At the end you put the sad face. then you add the posh and stretch before you make time-lapse . 

 would I do this again

yes. i would do this again ,because it was harder then some of the other projects . it was fun draw the face on . you could make them any size

 

what would i change 

i would change the color of my ball and the cool of the sky

the animated ball project

the first day was kinda hard ,it was hard to get started since it was my first time using photoshop. i didn't under stand how it get started.when i got started it got kinda easy. the first day i got the background & the grass done.I had to make a ball & make it have to make the ball which was easy. you have to make multiple ball so it can look like the ball is bouncing up and down . you have to make the ball go in when its falling down so when it falling it looks like a ball. when it touches the ground it turns into a flat circle.then you have to copy & reverse the ball. then you delete the extras.

would I do this again

yes i would do this again. it was kinda easy making this ball . the thing i would change would be the color of the ball or the colors of the background.

house project

how I made this house 

This house was made with sketch up. It was super easy to start the house, you make a rectangle and pull it up .  Then you make the roof by putting a line in the middle and puling it up. Then you make a door and windows. then you make the deck and make the rocks that go from the deck. to make the rocks you make rectangles in aline. Then you can get a car from sketch up  warehouse . 

would i do this again

yes, I would do this again . It was so much fun . I would try do do a differnt house next time.

My ten strengths

            what you have to do to start the project

This project was pretty easy. First you have to find a background that you like. then you have to think of ten strengths you have. you make two layers to begin with. The 2nd layer you embed the photo. then you make each layer for each word. Don't put the words in the same layers. If you do you will ruin the video. Next you make a video time line.the you have to edit each word. Don't do anything with the background.

what I learned 

I learned that it is easy to make a video using photoshop and that its really fun  to use photoshop

what I would do differntly

I would have  put more  details to my words and i would have used a differnt photo. there alot of things i could have done differntly.

Sidewalk Chalk flag

On the fist day we had to get into a teams, then we had to come up with a sign for each of us . That was one of the hardest parts . It was hard for me , because I'm very shy & I don't know know any signs that would fit with me . It took a long to think of a sign, that night i tried to find any signs that go's with shy. The next day we had to sketch out what the flag would look like . It was pretty easy sketching the flag out , but I had to come up with m sign that day. so I thought that a ying &yang sign would work. So we drew a ying & yang sign and a sign for being good at sports. The last day we had to draw it with chalk. It was lots of fun , until it started to rain. then we had to go inside.
