Mini documentary

The whole thing 

   This is a whole mess. The first day we got this, I was going to do it on depression. That’s wasn’t a good idea though so we just went with diabetes. We got the idea to do one about diabetes because Kate has diabetes and so does tayah’s sister. I wrote out questions to ask and then we thought about doing the interviews in the yearbook room. They have a nice white background that would make the clothing colors pop.

My job in this project was art director. I was in charge of picking out where we were going to do the interviews and how we’re going to have it set up. Colors and what styles were what I was doing the whole time.

  Me and tayah’s went to the engineering area and film shot of her sister. Most of the shots we b-roll. It was just shots of her work on a project and shots of the tools and bolts they use. It was fun to film her doing her stuff even though the other kids were being annoying. We were going to do the interview that day but then we had to watch get real again. So that kinda ruined our plans. So we tried to film it at tayah’s and then film it at Kate’s, but things weren’t working out and none of it happened like that .we had to scrape are an idea when Kate wasn’t able to edit anything.
 
  So we decided to mate a mockumentary. It was about Kate’s cat. It looked good with the layer she put over it and we did a nice job. When we re-edit it, we will but a shadow on the words so you can see them at all time. I do enjoy having what the cat is saying in yellow because it fits with the look. Kate also added grain to the film to make it look good. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better group to be with. They are great friends of mine and I can’t wait for next year.

PSA blog

Begin of this;

So it all had to begin with picking a group. I wanted to work with Kate , but she was working with some seniors and you could only have so many . I was in a group with Sarah , Abby and Hanna. They were all very kind and had great ideas. We decided to do a psa over hitch hiking. 

It was going to be a guy who looks very sketchy picking up a little girl hitch hiker. The hitch hiker was going to steal from the man and then it will show how that not the best idea. We had people we wanted to be are actors and some of are locations down. We wanted to film when it was just about to become night time .it started so well, but it didn’t work how we wanted it.

Middle and the end  :

We had so many snow days and are actors couldn’t commet to the days we had planned to film . So we were in a big pickle.I remember asking my group when we were going to start filming and no one had a clue . 

So are camera person thought of an idea to fix are problem. She made a psa over being in the go zone. The go zone is the part in the hallway that we’re not supposed to stand in , we have to keep moving . It was pretty funny , but not what any of us wanted. Me and Hanna were kinda in shameful showing that to the class . The class took it pretty well and we explained that it wasn’t are first idea that it was the last thing we wanted to do.

What would I change :

I would be more harsh on when we had to film and probably pick an idea that didn’t have to do with the outside. No one knew that we were going to have that many snow days , but we still could do so much better . I would also get actors who don’t ever have any plans so that we could film at any time . Maybe I could also be a director, but probably not . I’ve just haven’t done that be for so why not . 

What were the positives:

I had a group with kind and creative people. They didn’t have to invite me to there group , but they did. Hanna did her best drawing story boards .i had a fun time even though nothing went are way. It was fun and we a lot closer now 

My Final blog post

There should be alot of posts for the projects we've done this year,but I haven't been able to access this blogger account.lots of things have happen this year . new friends , new adventures and so much more . So let me wrap up how this years been going on.

Commercials:

The project was to make a commercial for what ever product you wanted to, but there can't be two people doing the same product. My group had the worst luck with this . first i get really dehydrated because there was only one person with water and we all shared on , next we lose the SD card . It wasn't a fun time . i got to work with a couple people that are now great friends of mine. I only new one person in my group when we started and that was Kate. We've been friends for a year now .  I learned that I cant work with certain people who my personality clashes with, because that's starts a big mess called drama. who i was with and that's the only thing i would change.Yes we used all the time we could to film, we could have gotten more actors so I didn't have to be one. it would have made life easier. we wouldn't have to stress about if we could do night seans, if we could just have more people. we worked hard when we were filming and when we were at school. its the fact that no one in my group decide to bring any water or anything before i got super dehydrated and threw up. i brought one and most people were drinking out of it. 

music video:

This was lots of fun. I got to work with Amanda and Darby;two people who I had meet this year. They were a blast to work with .  we got to go to the park were we filmed the commercial. it was cool to see what they were doing . we used my brothers room and my backyard . it looked nice. then we got to do the under water sence at Sarah peeks house. her pool was so nice . after we finished filming Darby let me swim in the pool for a little bit . it was nice. then we had to start editing . which was fun to see the clips that Darby got from her cruise.it looked great . if i could change anything i would change how long we got to film the video. If we got more time , then maybe it could have had cleaner shots . i had a great time filming with them.

short film:

there is some tea with this one tho.So there was a girl(senior) in my group who would do nothing for are group.She would say that she was sketching but would have nothing on her paper. she was doing nothing for are group and then there was another senior in are group who tried to do as much as she could , but she couldn't be there to film because she had work. the other girl didn't have work , she just didn't want to.
So now that we  discussed  the elephant in the room . I’ll tell you how me and Kate did most of the project. So me and Kate we’re making day that we could film ,then I was talking to her about who we could cast. Then we went an filmed . It turned out okay, it could have been better if we had more help

My part: 
I’m the makeup artist and I also have to do hair too. I didn’t want to do hair ,but I’m glad that I got it. It’s a thing for me to experience new things that I’m not used to. 

I’m excited and can’t wait for the filming to start

green screen

Green Screen experiences: 

The first day we learned how to use the green screen and what not to do. Its kinda funny , because this kid in my class had green in his shirt . It all worked out in the long run. The second day of green screen was not my favorite because i was not looking my best that day and that was the day that we were taking pictures in front of the green screen. luckily I didn't wear any green. We were suppose to do it by are self, but he let us do groups.

the next thing we need to do is pick something out for us to be behind. i picked Walmart , because why not. Rachel(a girl in the  group of three) did Godzilla behind us and Cass(the other person in the group) did a nickelback concert. Cass is making way more than one , but we're only suppose to do one.

Green Screen Process :

it was just a bunch of little things you would have to do over and over again. it got pretty boring after a while , but the out come is amazing . 

the pen

my thoughts on the project:
~its a lot harder then it looks. its a lot of tidiest work. you have to do a lot of small details . I tried to make a heart and now its just a ring . I hit a random button and now its a spikey ring . so I gave up on that.


       heres the pen that I'm trying to make:

 It looks like one long cylinder with a smaller one at the top. Then you use a cone for the part before the tip. then for the part above the tip, it look like a small cylinder with a small cone on top of it. Then you can add subdivisions and pull up a bit of it then you pull it from the other side to make it look like the clip.

I dont have a picture because Maya hates me and I'm not even close to being done. I missed yesterday . I need more time for the pen so when Maya decides to work then I will try to update.

hammer blog

things I learned:

~we had to divide the side to make the pointy part of the hammer. the part of the hammer that you could rip a nail out of the wall or a board of wood.

~we had to round of the sides.

what I had a hard time with:

~it was mostly about me using my time well. it was more challengeing the the thing we did before in Maya. Maya likes to shut down at all the wrong time so.

I wasn't complete done with this hammer . If I could change anything I would use my time better. I think Maya hates me, because nothing is pulling up. so I will update this when I can pull it up

final in video

the second  project was not as fun as it seemed . So we had to do a video about something .  I was with Gaven , storms and Michel . it didn't take that long , but we didn't get everything we needed. in the video we didn't have a voice over , background noise , and we didn't set up the white balance.  we learned how to use the camera , we learned that we don't work well together. the feed back was that we needed to have a better sold idea, not just pick one that no one wants to film.
what I change , I wasn't in a group with by bestie. yes it was fun to be in her group, but we didn't use time well. we would mess around . 

In the third video I had a friend my group, but I also had someone who made sure we worked on time and got it all done. it wasn't as much fun , but the video looks a lot better.The third video , we use time wisely. we had to go in after class to film. are video look more professional . we would finish early some days so we would look at what we can do the next day . I had Alex, Rachel,kate and Kevin . they were a great group.  Kate was helping the camera man. Alex was the camera man. Kevin was acting like the leader , but the one who was appointed leader was kate and Rachel was there for moral support.  I came up with the ideas and made sure that we could film on certain days.
 I like to make videos for my friends birthdays . I also make video for my little brothers youtube videos . its kinda dumb ,but he enjoys it so its fine.

my strengths  are editing the video. it not my favorite , but I'm no good with the cameras we use. my group made the new story about cyber patriots. it was fun , but I didn't know what it was . I could be able to use the big camera . I'm small so I'm afraid to drop the camera. I learned that you can get your video cut at any time. its ok though. are video was great and was better than a different class(mrs.smiths). there video wasn't that bad it was the sound.

I loved all the memories I made this semester and I hope I can make better one next semester. I would make sure everyone knows how to use the equipment. I learn to make sure people know your ideas and to stop being so shy. the fact that I don't like to talk to people I don't know as well is hard for me.
